Eurovision 2023 host city bidding race: Bid books submission deadline expires on September 8,2022

The 7 candidate cities remaining in the Eurovision 2023 host city bidding race have until September 8, 2022 to submit their bidding books.
On August 12, the BBC announced the 7 cities that continue in the bidding race for the Eurovision 2023 host city. The seven cities now have up to September 8, 2022 to submit their books supporting their bids to host the next contest.
Once the deadline submission expires the BBC will be going onsite in the cities to check out all the aspects of their bidding books on spot, to review infrastructure and facilties the locations are offering in order to host the next competition.
The final decision will come after the BBC and EBU have a clear picture of all candidate cities and what they offer and how the fulfill the requirements. The announcement of the next Eurovision host city is expected sometime by the end of Spetember or the first weeks of October.

The EBU's decision for the UK to host Eurovision 2023 came after evaluating the situation in Ukraine and the lack of security in the country due to the ongoing war in the region after the Russian invasion.
