American Song Contest 2022: The 1st Semi-Final results; Allen Stone jury's first finalist

  • The Amreican Song Contest progressed to the 1st Semi-final show during which 11 acts took the stage with Alex Stone securing his place in the Grand final due to the jury's vote. 

    Following the five qualifying rounds of  the inaugural edition of the American Song Contest the competition has progressed to the semifinals stage. 

    The American Song Contest which is brought to the audience by Propagate in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group , continued last evening with the first semi final round. 

    The show is hosted by two of the biggest internationally names in the music industry, with Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg responsible to guide the audience through the live shows. 

     

    Fifth round public voting qualifiers announcement

    Ahead of the 1st semi-final night's performances and results, the rest three qualifiers of the fifth round , which were decided via an online voting last week, were announced. We remind you that the act that qualified according to the jury's verdict was Ada LeAnn representing Michigan.

    According to the public online voting for the fifth qualifying round Tenelle from American Samoa, John Morgan representing North Carolina and Sweet Taboo from California are the three qualifiers from the fifth qualifying round to join Ada LeAnn  in the semifinals. In addition the second  wildcard was attributed to Enisa from New York. All five of them will compete in the second semi-final.

    1. Alabama: Ni/Co – The Difference
    2. Colorado: Riker Lynch – Feel The Love
    3. Kentucky: Jordan Smith – Sparrow
    4. Massachusetts: Jared Lee – Shameless
    5. Michigan: Ada LeAnn – Natalie
    6. Montana: Jonah Prill – Fire It Up
    7. New Hampshire: Mari – Fly
    8. Oklahoma: AleXa – Wonderland
    9. Rhode Island: Hueston – Held On Too Long
    10. Washington: Allen Stone – A Bit of Both
    11. Wyoming: Ryan Charles – New Boot Goofin

     

    The 1st Semi-Final jury results

    A jury consisting of 56 members cast its votes in order to select the first qualifier to the semfinals. According to the jury's verdict Allen Stone from Washington  is the first qualifier that advances to Grandi final. Here is how the jury results came out:

    2. Kentucky: Jordan Smith – ‘Sparrow‘
    3. Rhode Island: Hueston – ‘Held On Too Long‘
    4. Michigan: Ada LeAnn – ‘Natalie‘
    5. Oklahoma: AleXa – ‘Wonderland‘
    6. Alabama: Ni/Co – ‘The Difference‘
    7. Montana: Jonah Prill – ‘Fire It Up‘
    8. Massachusetts: Jared Lee – ‘Shameless‘
    9. New Hampshire: Mari – ‘Fly‘

    The rest competing acts will go through a public voting that will run for one day up to Tuesday with four more finalists to be determined. The qualifiers will be revealed during the next semi-final show.
