Ukraine: UA:PBC moves on with the preparations for hosting Eurovision 2023

The Ukrainian national broadcaster, UA:PBC has announced that it is moving on with the preparations for hosting Eurovision 2023.
While the discussion between UA:PBC and EBU are underway the Ukrainian national broadcaster has given to EBU the first anwers regarding the parameters of hosting next year's Eurovision Song Contest. Issueas related to security standards, potential locations of the next contest and organsing subject were on the table in the discussion going on with Reference Group, the Eurovision Core Team and other EBU officials.
UA:PBC went on releasing a statement on where things stand from their side about hosting the next edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Mr. Mykola Chernotytskyi (UA:PBC Head of Managing Board) stated:
All safety and security related measures have to be prepared and implemented in close cooperation with the national authorities.
So we held consultations with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (National Police, State Emergency Service, National Guard) and the Ministry of Defense.
Their experts together with security and risk assessment units of UA: PBC prepared common vision of the security situation and measures to be taken for the hosting of Eurovision next year. We thank the state authorities for their involvement and prompt preparation.
The Ukrainian Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko says:
Yesterday we submitted a presentation of the questionnaire for the hosting of Eurovision in Ukraine to the European Broadcasting Union.
Within a very short timeframe, the governmental team managed to provide thorough and comprehensive answers. Everybody worked in a very efficient and coordinated manner – from the public broadcaster and security authorities to the Prime Minister who assured with a letter that all the obligations that we have assumed will be fulfilled.
We gave detailed answers regarding security questions and other organisation nuances, proposed several venues. I believe that we should have exhaustive, clear and honest answers to questions – that is what we did.
We understand that in the current circumstances both we and the EBU face a challenge of organising Eurovision in Ukraine. But we have accepted this challenge and, I am sure, we will surprise everyone.
Ukraine seems determined to host the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, a right earned after their third victory with Kalush Orchestra in Turin and their song 'Stefania'. The Ukrainian cabinet of ministers has already formed the organising committtee that will look over the preparations while the Mayor of Kiev has stated that the city is ready to host the next contest.
Kalush Orchestra competed in the Grand final of the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest singing 'Stefania' and achieved to bring home the third trophy for Ukraine receiving an unprecedented score in the televoting receiving 439 points which gave them the lead with a total of 631 points in the overall score.
