Portugal: Festival da Canção 2023 Second Semi-Final Results

The Portuguese national selection for Eurovision 2023 continued this evening with the second semi final show of Festival da Canção determining the last six finalists.
Portugal is using once again its tradional national selection format of Festival da Canção which will be running for its 57th edition.
A total of 20 composers are behind the competing entries of Festival da Canção 2022 the names of which have been released by RTP. From those five were selected from the public submissions while the rest 15 were invited directly be RTP. Initially the invitation was sent to 16 composers with one of them withdrawing eventually due to personal reasons and his spot was filled in by one extra public submission.
Following last week's first semi-final heat this evening the second semi-final took place to determine the second set of six finalists. The show was hosted by Sónia Araújo and Jorge Gabriel, while Inês Lopes Gonçalves hosted the Green Room.
A total of 10 acts competed in this second semi final heat:
Edmundo Inácio – “A Festa” (The party)
The Happy Mess – “O Impossível” (The impossible)
Teresinha Landeiro – “Enquanto é tempo” (While it’s time)
Bandua – “Bandeiras” (Flags)
Bárbara Tinoco – “Goodnight”
Inês Apenas – “Fim do Mundo” (The end of the world)
Ivandro – “Povo” (People)
Dapunksportif – “World Needs Therapy” – Public vote qualifier
Lara Li – “Funâmbula” (Acrobat)
Voodoo Marmalade – “Tormento” (Torture)
The results
The first set of finalists were determined through two rounds, in the first round all ten artists were voted by public televote (50%) and by a jury contributing with another 50%. The five acts that received in total the highest points advanced to the final. In the second round the televoting re-opened with a sixth artist chosen by the public.
The seven members that form the jury that will be voting in the Semi-Finals of the Portuguese selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 are:

The last six qualifiers will join in the Grand final the six qualifiers from semi-final one. Thus the Grand final line-up of next week's show sees the following acts:

Next Saturday, March 11th the Portuguese national selection for Eurovision 2023 concludes with the Grand Final of Festival da Canção 2023.
