Russia: Manizha to Eurovision 2021 with “Russian Woman”

Russia has decided! Manizha will be representing the country at Eurovision 2021 after winning the national final with her song "Russian Woman".
The Russian national final took place this evening in order to determine the Russian Eurovision 2021 hopeful. Winner of the show was Manizha who will be performing "Russian Woman" in Rotterdam next May.
The national final show was aired on Channel 1 and was hosted by Yana Churikova. Guest of the night were act which have leaved their own mark in the Eurovision Song Contest's history. Namely Philipp Kirkorov, Polina Gagarina and Dima Bilan featured the show with Polina performing on stage the russian version of her ESC 2015 entry "A Million Voices".
Additionally, last year's ESC hopefuls , Little Big, who eventually didn't compete in the selection but performed their 2020 entry 'Uno' .
The Competing Acts
A total of three acts competed in this evening's national final giving the battle for the right to repesent Russia in Rotteram. Namely the three contestants were: #2Machi, Manizha and Therr Maitz.
1. Therr Maitz - "Future Is Bright"
Therr Maitz i is a Russian indie band, which brings together a mix of trip-hop, acid jazz, breakbeat, house, disco, funk and pop. It was founded by musician, producer, and composer Anton Belyaev in 2004. Since 2011, Therr Maitz has been active in concert and touring, participating in major music festivals, releasing music, and participating in film and television projects. The group was recognized with the award for Most Popular Russian Music Band at the "Event of the Year" ceremony in 2014. The band was also the best selling act on iTunes Russia and Apple Music Russia in 2015, and received the award for Best Russian Artist at the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards.
2. #2Machi - "Bitter Words"
#2Machi is a duo consited of Maria Zaitseva and Maria Sheikh. The duo has been 6 years together and has a released two albums and several singles among which Теперь нас двое (Now it's the two of us).
3. Manizha - "Russian Woman"
Manizha Dalerovna Sangin born 8 July 1991, known professionally as simply Manizha, is a Russian-Tajik singer and songwriter. Beginning her career in 2003 as a child singer, Manizha went on to perform with the music groups Ru.Kola, Assai, and Krip De Shin, before later pursuing a solo career. In 2016, Manizha released several independently-released singles. The singles were followed up by the release of her debut studio album Manuscript, which was independently released in February 2017.Her second studio album ЯIAM was r released in March 2018.
The Result
The outcome of the national final was determined exclusively by televoting. The public vote crowned winner Manizha with 39,7% leaving behind second #2Mashi with 35,7% while Therr Maitz with 24,6% came finished third. Therefore Manizha will represent Russia at Eurovision 2021 performing "Russian Woman" in Rotterdam.
