USA: Listen to snippets of the 11 American Song Contest 2nd Qualifying round songs

  • Snippets of the 11 competing songs in the 2nd qualifying round of the American Song Contest and rehearsal footage have been released for the public to check them out. 

    Following the first qualifying round of the the inaugural edition of the American Song Contest , the audience can have a taste of what we will see in the second qualifying round of the competition as most of the acts have released mainly on TikTok their competing songs. 

    The American Song Contest which is brought to the audience by Propagate in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group kicked off on March 21 with the first qualifyng round, whilst the grand final will take place on May 9. All shows will be aired live on NBC.

    Over three qualifying heats, semifinals and a Grand final show we will see competing acts competing and representing all 50 states, five U.S. territories and the nation’s capital Washington DC.

    7. North Dakota: Chloe Fredericks – Can’t Make You Love Me
    8. Ohio: Macy Gray – Every Night
    9. Oregon: courtship. – Million Dollar Smoothies
    10. Virgin Islands: Cruz Rock – Celebrando
    11. Virginia: Almira Zaky – Over You

     

    The original songs of the American Song Contest series will be released under the label of Atlantic Records, with the first set of song to go public on Monday March 28, 2022 at 00:00 (midnight) ET / 21:00 PT, which will be repeated every week up to the Grand final show. 

    The live shows are set to hit the screen live from 20:00 – 22:00 ET/PT from the Universal Lot and will unfold over 8 weeks until the Grand Final show on Monday 9 May, just one day before the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 first semi-final takes place in Turin. The shows will be hosted by Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg.
