Spain: Esteban Santos, ESC 1984 representative passes away aged 69

  • Esteban Santos, the Spanish representative at the 1984 Eurovision Song Contest, has passed away aged 69. 

    Sad news for the Eurovision family, as the singer and musician Esteban Santos, a member of the Bravo group, passed away Monday morning, the singer of the group Amaya Saizar on social networks. Without revealing the cause of the death of the bandmate, Amaya Saizar recalled the several years of common work in the band Bravo. Esteban Santos was 69 years old and had dedicated himself to medicine after the end of the group in 1986.

     

     Chosen internally by RTVE, the Bravo represented Spain at the 1984 Eurovision Festival with "Lady, Lady". In Luxembourg, the group reached  the honorable 3rd place with 106 points.
