Italy: Måneskin nominated for three 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards

• The Eurovision 2021 winners, the Italian rock group Måneskin continue to ride their wave of success with three nominations at MTV's Europe Music Awards 2021.

  Following their firsr peaks in the digital platforms (Spotify, Youtube)  and their debut in the Billboard charts , their ongoing success story  with additional songs, their outstanding collaboration with Iggy Pop and an upcoming  sold out European Tour  and their recently relesed new single MAMMAMIA,  it's time for Maneskin to shine at the MTV EMAs 2021 Awards.

  Every year MTV celebrates musical diversity with the best oustanding acts and songs from across the continents being honored with nominations and awards for their success.  Maneskin continue to ride their wave of success receiving three nominations at the MTV EMAs 2021 Awards. Namely the Italian rock group has been nominated for awards in three categories: 'Best Group', 'Best Rock' and 'Best Italian Act'.

  However it won't be an easy case for Maneskin who face strong contenders in the categories of Best Rock and Best Group. In the first category Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon and The Killers are also strong contender for the award, while in the Best Group BTS, Imagine Dragons, Jonas Brothers, Little Mix and Silk Sonic have been also nominated. 

   

  More Eurovision stars and national finalists nominated for regional awards

  In Italy Maneskin battle with the Sanremo 2021 participant trap artist Madame finished eighth with ‘Voce’. In addition  Gjon’s Tears, who won third place in Rotterdam with ‘Tout l’Univers’, is nominated for ‘Best Swiss Act’.  Melodifestivalen star, Margaret is looking for a fifth win and defending her 2020 ‘Best Polish Act’ title. 

  Festival da Canção participants, Bárbara Tinoco and Diogo Piçarra (who previously won the award in 2019), are in a  battle in the ‘Best Portuguese Act’ category.  Also Competing for ‘Best Russian Act’ is Max Barskih of ‘Dance’ fame, who previously won ‘Best Ukrainian Act’ in 2010. Finally in ‘Best Spanish Act’ category , Operación Triunfo participant Aitana receives a second successive nomination as a result of her chart success this year.

  The MTV EMAs 2021 event is set to take place in Hungary at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna. The show will air live across MTV’s channels in 180 countries on Sunday November 14, 2021.
