Greece: Sakis Rouvas drops his new single "I Mesa Mou Thalassa"

Sakis Rouvas, the Greek 2004 and 2009 Eurovision act, has dropped his new track , a brand new ballad song titled "I Mesa mou Thalassa" (The Sea Inside Me) .
Counting 30 successful years in the discography, Sakis Rouvas has given us countless moments of joy and emotion through his songs. The same thing is happening now, with his brand new song "The Sea Inside Me", a love ballad that has its own special story, as it was created in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In fact, Sakis had already given us a taste of our song a while ago days through his Instagram account during a live broadcast, playing the track on guitar and singing it live thrilling his thousands of followers.
Sakis Rouvas is experimenting once again with modern music sounds, while the set and the atmosphere of the song are complemented by the sensitive lyrics.

His Eurovision entry “Shake It“, with music by Terzis and lyrics by Nektarios Tyrakis, combined the Greek traditional bouzouki sound with the Latin one. Rouvas was one of the favorites to win the competition. On stage Rouvas had two female dancers and three backing vocalists. Fokas Evangelinos, Rouvas’ longtime choreographer, choreographed his stage show. “Shake It” finished ain the honorable 3rd place in the final marking a turning point in his career .Eurovision 2009
ERT made an early announcement confirming that Rouvas would again be Greece’s entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009. The country held a song selecton during which he performed his three songs (“Out of Control”, “Right on Time” and “This Is Our Night“, all composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos. A win was widely anticipated by the Greek fans, with the country being one of the three favorites among the Eurovision fans. However, Rouvas finished seventh in the final.
