France: Barbara Pravi releases her new song 'l’homme et l’oiseau'

  • The Eurovision 2021 runner-up, Barbara Pravi from France, has released her brand new single titled, "l’homme et l’oiseau" (The man and the bird”).

    Following her amazing perfromance and placing of 'Voila' in Rotterdam,  the announcement of her European tour, and her follow up  track titled, “Le jour se lève”, Barbara Pravi, releases her second new song after Rotterdam, l’homme et l’oiseau".

    After giving France its best result in the contest since 1991 and Amina's 2nd place, Barbara is in ongoing artistic motion treating us with new songs. Her new single  l’homme et l’oiseau"  in English “The man and the bird” is the last song of the triptyque including her previous two songs Voila and Le jour se lève”. 

    The triptyque implies the route from darker times to more enlightened ones which eventually show the path to freedom and a new start. The last song and part of the triptyque is dedicated to the value of freedom, featuring as a leading figure the bird that cannot be captured. The French act mentions on her instagram account

    The French act completes with her last new single the triptyque that includes her previous two songs Voila and Le jour se lève”. In accordance to this triptyque she has released a joint video 11 mintues long that consists of parts of all three songs showcasing her work of the last months.

     

    A few words for Barbara Pravi 

    Barbara Piévic , said Barbara Pravi , is a singer-songwriter French , born on in Paris . Her stage name is Barbara Pravi, but her real last name is Pievic, in Serbian Пјевић (Pjević). She grew up in a family of artists, surrounded by books and music. Pravi is a Serbian word derived from prava meaning "Authentic", in homage to his paternal grandfather of Serbian origin.

    She released her first single Pas grandir in 2017. it will be included in her first EP, eponymous, released in 2017. That same year, she obtained her first role as an actress in a TV movie La Sainte famille , directed by Marion Sarraut and broadcast in December 2019 on France 2. 

    In February 2020, she released a new 5-track EP "Reviens pour Winter" of which she is the author, composer and co-director. For these songs, she collaborated with Stan Neff, Lili Poe, Vincha , November Ultra and Wladimir Pariente  .

    Along with writing and composing her own songs, she writes for many other artists such as Yannick Noah, Julie Zenatti , Chimène Badi, Jaden Smith , Angelina , etc. Barbara Pravi and Igit have together more than 135 million views on YouTube with their compositions for Kids.

    In 2019 and 2020, she co-wrote with Igit the songs Bim Bam Toi and J'imagine presented at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 and 2020 respectively . Bim Bam Toi , peroforemd by Carla , finished fifth in ranking  and J'Imagine , played by Valentina , who eventually won the 2020 competition with 200 points  in the lead with both the professional jury and the public vote .

    Barbara won the French national final back in January and went on to represent the nation in Rotterdam with her song 'Voila". After an amazing captivating performance in Rotterdam Ahoy she fisnished in 2nd place with a total of 499 points in the overall score after coming 2nd in the jury voting and third in the public vote.
