France: Amir releases his new ballad song “Rétine”

  • Amir, the French representative at Eurovision 2016 has released his new single titled "Rétine".

    A year after the release of his third album titled ‘Ressources’, which is already certified gold record, Amir will unveil a reissue on November 12th and intends to surprise us a little more with unreleased tracks.

    Indeed, the French singer will unveil in this reissue no less than 7 new songs including his last released ballad song "Rétine" which is  a vibrant declaration of love. 

    Amir's newly released track is a ballad song that delivers an ultimate love message with a touching mood that Amir's voice can support in a way he has gotten us used to. Retine has been penned by Amir himself and Nazim Khaled, who are also behind the composition of the song along with Stav Beger.

    Amir in Eurovision

    Amit Haddad aka Amir,  is a French-Israeli singer and songwriter. He took part in 2006 in the Israeli music competition Kokhav Nolad, released his album Vayehi in 2011 and was a finalist in French competition The Voice: la plus belle voix as part of Team Jenifer finishing third in the competition. He represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song “J’ai cherché”, which finished in 6th place.

    In Addition, Amir joined Stéphane Bern and Marianne James as a commentator for France 2 at the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev. He served as one of the domestic jury members for the semifinals of Destination Eurovision along with Christophe Willem and Isabelle Boulay to help France choose its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon. Along with 2019 Swedish Eurovision representative John Lundvik and famed Swedish composers Peter Boström and Thomas G:son, Amir helped co-write the song “The Best in Me” for Tom Leeb, the French representative at Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
