#EurovisionAgain: Iceland's Greta Salóme wins the Semi-finals Special Edition

  • Iceland's Greta Salóme with her song "Hear Them Calling"  won the semi finals special edition of #EurovisionAgain among 26 acts that hadn't qualified in their semi-final. 

    During the last nine months the official ESC Youtube channel has been rebroadcasting past Eurovision shows giving the chance to fans to revive their memories and redo of those times by polls running on Twitter under the hashtag #EurovisionAgain.

    Throughout November on Instagram Stories they asked fans to pick their favourite song from every country that has failed to qualify for the Grand Final more than once since the Eurovision Semi-Finals were introduced in 2004. In addition, 12 sites and podcasts from the Eurovision fan community were ask to select their 10 favourite non-qualifiers.In this evening's show of #EuroviisionAgain we saw the following 26 most popular songs in the following running order:

    1. Norway - Stella Mwangi - Haba Haba

    2. Estonia - Koit Toome and Laura - Verona

    3. Belarus - Petr Elfimov - Eyes That Never Lie

    4. Bulgaria - Poli Genova - Na Inat

    5. Slovenia - Omar Naber - Stop

    6. The Netherlands - Edsilia Rombley - On Top Of The World

    7. Moldova - Eduard Romanyuta - I Want Your Love

    8. Finland - Norma John - Blackbird

    9. San Marino - Valentina Monetta - Crisalide (Vola)

    10. Romania - Ester Peony - On A Sunday

    11. Monaco - Séverine Ferrer - La Coco-Dance

    12. Greece - Yianna Terzi - Oniro Mou

    13. Denmark - DQ - Drama Queen

    THE RESULTS 

    Once all performances were over the fans were able to cast their votes to declare a winner. The final outcome found  Greta Salóme from Iceland topping the scoreboard with her entry 'Hear Them Calling' leaving second behind ZiBBz from Switzerland while the top3 closes Norman John from Finland and her song 'Black Bird'. In addition Kate Ryan from Belgium finished 4th while Mei Finegold came 5th with Israel.
