American Song Contest 2022: Second Qualifying round results

• Jordan Smith representing Kentucky is the jury's qualifier of the second qualifying heat of the American Song Contest that continued last evening. 

  The American Song Contest which is brought to the audience by Propagate in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of Universal Studio Group , kicked off last evening with the first qualifying round. 

  The show is hosted by two of the biggest internationally names in the music industry, with Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg responsible to guide the audience through the live shows. 

  While the much anticipated competition will consist of qualifying rounds, semifinals and a grand final show, the second set of 11 acts competed in the second heat last night. A total of four qualifiers pass to the semifinals from each round.

   

  First round public voting qualifiers

  Ahead of this night's performances and results, the rest three qualifiers of the first heat which were decided via an online voting last week will be announced. We remind you that the act that qualified according to the jury's verdict was Hueston representing Rhode Island.  

  According to the public online voting AleXa for Oklahoma , Connecticut’s Michael Bolton and  Christian Pagán from  Puerto Rico are the three qualifiers from the first qualifying round to join Hueston in the semifinals.

  Namely the 11 acts that took the stage in heat two are: 

   

  Kansas: Broderick Jones – Tell Me

  Maine: King Kyote – Get Out Alive
  

   

  Montana: Jonah Prill – Fire It Up
  

   

  Nebraska: Jocelyn – Never Alone
  

   

  New York: ENISA – Green Light
  

   

  North Dakota: Chloe Fredericks – Can’t Make You Love Me
  

   

  Ohio: Macy Gray – Every Night

   

  Oregon: courtship. – Million Dollar Smoothies
  

   

  Virgin Islands: Cruz Rock – Celebrando
  

   

  Virginia: Almira Zaky – Over You

   

  The 2nd round jury results

  A jury consisting of 56 members  cast its votes in order to select the first qualifier to the semfinals. According to the jury's verdict Jordan Smith  representing Kentucky is the first qualifier that advances to the semifinals from this round. 

  The rest competing acts will go through a public voting that will run for two days up to Wednesday with three more semifinalists to be determined. However, the rest three qualifiers will be announced each time at the beginning of the next live show. 

  The American Song Contest will continue next week with the 2nd qualifying round.
