Sweden: Melodifestivalen 2023 first semi final results

• Melodifestivalen 2023 kicked off this evening with the first semi-final of the Swedish national selection,  determining the first  two finalists and  two spots of the 5th semi final (second chance). 

  The show took place at in Gothenburg , while the show was hosted  by Farah Abadi and Jesper Rönndahl . “Melodifestivalen 2023” consists of 5 semi-final rounds and the grand final to be held on March 11. A total of 28 acts is taking part in this year’s edition, with first set of 7 acts competed in this evening's first semi-final. 

  In this first heat  in Gothenburg we saw the following 7 competing acts: 

   

  Tone Sekelius – “Rhythm of My Show”

  

   

  Loulou LaMotte – “Inga sorger” (No Worries)

  

   

  Rejhan – “Haunted”

  

   

  Elov and Beny – “Raggen går” (The rattle goes)

  

   

  Victor Crone – “Diamonds”

  

   

  Eva Rydberg and Ewa Roos – “Länge leve livet” (Long live life)

  

   

  Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc north feat. Adam Woods – “Where are you (Sávečan)”

   

   

  The Results

  The two acts that made it to the Grand final directly are: 

  1. Tone Sekelius – “Rhythm of My Show”
  2. Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc north feat. Adam Woods – “Where are you (Sávečan)”

   

  The two acts that qualified to the 5th semi-final where they will have a second chance to compete for a spot in the final are: 

  1. Elov and Beny – “Raggen går” (The rattle goes)
  2. Victor Crone – “Diamonds”

  Melodifestivalen 2023 continues next Saturday with one more set of 7 acts competing in the 2nd semi final show.
