Sweden: Listen to the snippets of the “Melodifestivalen 2020” 2nd Semi-Final songs

  • The Swedish national broadcaster, SVT , has released one minute snippets of the 2nd  semi final entries that we will see in this Saturday’s 2nd show of Melodifestivalen 2020.  

    A total of seven acts will compete in the second semi final show that will take place at Scandinavium in Gothenburg , this Saturday February 8. Listen below to the snippets of the second semi final entries:

    A lot of comeback in this semi final round! First of all we will on stage Jan Johansen competed in Eurovision  1995 with “Se pa mej” and finished 3rd. Additonally,  we will see Melodifestivalen veteran Linda Bengtzing return alongside with Dotter, Thorsten Flinck, Mendez and Alvaro Estrella.  Anna Bergendahl, is too back after last year’s particiaption with “Ashes to Ashes”. Anna had won Melodifestivalen 2010  but failed to reach the final in Eurovision.

    THE FORMAT

    “Melodifestivalen 2020” consists of 4 semi-final rounds, a “second chance semi-final” and the grand final to be held on March 7. A total of 28 acts take part in this year’s edition, with 7 acts to compete in each of the first four semi-final rounds. The first two acts of each semi-final qualify directly to the grand final while the third and fourth places go to the “second chance” semi-final.

    From each semi final the first two acts qualify for the grand final, which will take place on March 7 at the Friends Arena in Stockholm,while the third and fourth act get the tickets to the Second Chance round that will take place on February 29 at the Stiga Sports Arena in Eskilstuna.
