Serbia: 'Pesma za Evroviziju 25' contestants unveiled

  • The Serbian national broadcaster, RTS has revealed contestants of Pesme za Evroviziju 2025, the show that will determine their Eurovision 2025 hopeful. 

    One more nation is progesses their national selection as Serbia has announced the competing acts of the national selection of Pesme za Evroviziju 2025. The selection will consist of three televised shows, 2 semifinals and a grand final, which will take place on 25, 27 February and 1 March respectively.

    Namely the artists that will battle for the golden ticket to Basel are:

    2. Igor Simić – Ne mogu
    3. Tropico band – AI
    4. Tam – Durum durum
    5. Džet Vega – Rolerkoster
    6. Mila – Gaia
    7. Dušan Kurtić – Boginja
    8. Harem Girls – Aladin
    9. Mimi Mercedez – Turbo žurka
    10. Dram – Vanja
    11. Ivana Štrbac – La La La
    12. Milan Nikolić i banda – Storia del amor
    13. Bojana x David – Šesto čulo
    14. Iskaz – Trendseter
    15. Tanja Banjanin – Ja sam bolja
    16. Princ – Mila
    17. Biber – Da mi se vratiš
    18. Nataša Kojić – Up and Down
    19. Kruz Roudi – Sve i odmah
    20. SEDLAR – Oči boje zemlje
    21. Jelena Pajić – Kameleon
    22. Nikola Antonijević Anton – U grad

    The outcome of the selection will be determined by a combination of public and jury voting contributing with a 50% share each. 

     

    Serbia In Eurovision 

    Serbia participated as an independent state in the contest in 2007, a year which the country was crowned winner with Marija Šerifović and her entry Molitva and remains the only country to win on its debut in the contest. (apart from Switzerland which won in the first edition of the contest back in 1956).

    The nation has a total of 16 participations and one year of absence (2014) It has achieved to qualify 13 times in the Grand  final while 3 times it fiailed for only one place  (10th in 2009, 11th in 2013  2017). Apart from its victory Serbia has achieveda top 10  placing four times (6th in 2008, 3rd in 2012, 10th in 2015, 5th in 2022).

    Serbia participated twice as part of the Serbia- Montenegrin Federation (2nd in 2004 and 7th in 2005), while since 1961 until 1992 participated as part of the united then Yugoslavia. Six of these Yugoslavian entries came from the Serbian region. Yugoslavia had won the contest once, in 1989.

    Last year Teya Ramonda represented the Balkan coutry with Ramonda which came 17th in the final.
