  • Less than two days after his victory in MGP 2021, TIX together with NRK recorded the live on-tape performance of "Fallen Angel".

According to EBU's plans for this year's contest, the 41 countries should make a pre recorded live on-tape performance of their entries that they must submit by late March in order to guarantee their participation in case the delegation is unable to travel to Rotterdam due to restrictions or a quarantine in their countries.

TIX together with NRK recorded what could be Norway's Eurovision contribution if it is impossible to travel to Rotterdam in May.  Stig Karlsen, Norway's head of Delegation says:

Today we have recorded what could be TIX and Norway's performance during the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. We all dream of traveling to Rotterdam to contribute to and be part of a music festival for 200 million people, but if that is impossible the "live on tape" recordings luckily means that Eurovision will take place this year, even if we are not allowed to travel to the Netherlands”

Stig Karlsen says that Norway was the first of 41 participating countries to deliver its live on tape recording. NRK naturally followed all instructions from EBU and the hos broadcaster.

“TIX and the production team were on fire during today's recording, and were cheered on by a very satisfied committee from the EBU and the Dutch broadcaster” says Karlsen.

TIX is happy and can't hide his excitement:

“The dream is of course to travel to Rotterdam, so I hope it will take place. It was amazing to tape the recording today. We have actually only had one day to prepare and adjust what may be our contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest, but it seems that the entire NRK team feels they have a worthy contribution”

    And he adds saying :

“I have hardly slept since before the final, so now I am really ready to get home, check missed calls and take a shower”.
