Moldova: Natalia Gordienko's Eurovision 2021 entry will go public in March

  • Natalia Gordienko, who will represent Moldova at the Eurovision song contest 2021 next May, confirmed that she has already prepared the song and the video for Rotterdam set to go public in March. 

    As the contest was canceled last year due to the pandemic, this year, returning participants are required to come up with a new song. The singer was invited to the "Telemagazin" show on Channel 2, where she said that she is preparing an incendiary show together with her Russian producer, Filip Kirkorov.

    Natalia Gordienko says she works with the team that was with her in 2020, whose producer is Filip Kirkorov. Natalia's team consist of the so called Dream Team members. Namely  the music is signed by Dimitris Kontopoulos and Philipp Kirkorov, the lyrics have been penned by Sharon Vaughn, while the artistic director is Fokas Evaggelinos. The team completes Victoria Chalkiti as the vocal coach and the Project manager Ilias Kokotos

    Recently, the singer posted on social networks photos in which she appears with the Russian artist Filip Kirkorov. The pictures gathered hundreds of comments, and some internet users admit that Natalia could go on stage with the king of pop music from Russia.

    Natalia says about her song:

    "Nothing is excluded, we want it to be nice, but as it will already happen we will tell you in March. It will not be the song" Prison ", it will be different, and the premiere will be in March together with the video of the song. a few days ago I came back from Kiev where I already filmed the video, which will be very tasty, musty, sexy and very playful. "

    Moldova in Eurovision 

    Moldova participated in Eurovision for the first time in 2005 and hasn’t missed a year since then. Its best results came in 2017 when Sunstroke Project with Hey Mama finished 3rd. In 2018 the country was represented by DoReDos anf their entry Lucky Day, which finished 10th in the final. In 2019 Anna Odobescu flew the flag in Tel Aviv performing her power ballad “Stay” but despite her amazing vocal performance didn’t make it to the grand final.

    Natalia Gordienko won the Moldovan national final with her entry ‘Prison‘. and was to represent Moldova in Eurovision 2020 but never reached the stage in Rotterdam as the contest was cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic.
