Lithuania: Vaidotas Valiukevičius confirmed as the Eurovision 2022 spokesperson

The Lithuanian broadcaster, LRT, has confirmed Vaidotas Valiukevičius as the country's Eurovision 2022 spokesperson.
The Roop's Vaidotas Valiukevičius will have the honor to present the Lithuanian jury votes during the results announcement in the Grand final show of the 66th Eurovision Song Contest.
This marks the second artist from the ESC 2021 class that will be revealing the jury's vote of his country, after Stefania has been confirmed for Greece.
The final outcome of the Eurovision Song Contest is determined 50% by the votes of the national juries which are cast during the jury show, one day before the live grand final show and 50% by the public vote the night of the grand final. The presentation of the jury votes is held by the national spokespersons the night of the Grand final.
A few words for Vaidotas Valiukevičius
At the beginning of his career, he was a member of the groups Kosmo and Omega. In 2005 began his solo career (nicknamed Milanno), is debut song - "Nothing Needs More" took the highest places in various Lithuanian radio stations. In the spring of the same year, she participated in the LTV show "Lithuanian Songs Ten", and took the 1st place in the spring season.

In 2018 with the band "The Roop" participated in the "Eurovision" selection with the song "Yes, I Do" and took third place. 2020 with the band The Roop won the selection for Eurovision 2020 with the song "On Fire", but the competition did not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A year later, he once again won a selection for Eurovision (with the song "Discoteque"), finishing 8th in the final, the best results fot Lithuania since 2006.
