Finland: Windows95man to Eurovision 2024 with the song 'No rules'

Windows95man won the the Finnish national final of UMK 2024 singing 'No Rules' and will fly to Malmö for Eurovision 2024.

Finland determined once again their Eurovision hopeful through the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) taking place in at the Nokia Arena, in Tampere .The show was hosted by Pilvi Hämäläinen, Benjamin and Viivi Pumpanen., while the show was opened by Benjamin and Kuumma. They sang their UMK 2023 entries “Honda Mut” and “Ylivoimainen”.

The competition saw a total of seven acts compete on stage for the ticket to Malmo. Hera are how the competing part unwinded:

2. Cyan Kicks – Dancing with my Demons

3. Jesse Markin – “Glow“

4. Mikael Gabriel x nublu – “Vox populi”

5. Sara Siipola – “Paskana“

6. Sexmane – “Mania“

7. Windows95man – “No Rules“

Interval Acts

During the show appeared as interval acts several arists and of course last year's winner and Eurovision 2023 runner up, Kaarija . Namely we saw on stage :

Pilvi Hämäläinen – “ja hyllytetty kahdeksas kisaesitys”
Katri Helena – “Katson sineen taivaan”
Käärijä & Erika Vikman – “Ruoska”
Käärijä – “Cha Cha Cha”

The results

The oucome was determined by an international jury voting which contributed 25% to the results while the rest 75% was influenced by public voting. Armenia, Spain, Ukraine, Luxembourg, Slovenia, United Kingdom, and Sweden was the countries that forme the international juries.

Internatioanal jury results

First the international jury results were revealed that saw Sara Siipola topping the score with 70 points following by Cyon Kicks with 48 points and Mikael Gabriel and Nublu in 3rd place.

Public voting and Overall score

Following the international juries resutls the public vote was added in which eventually declared Window95man big winner sreceiving a massive 32,3% of the public vote (285 points) which in combination with the 28 points from the jury voting brough them on top with 303 leaving second behind Sara Siipola with 273 after receiving 203 points from the public ( 23%).

Windows95man will be competing in the second half of the First Semi-final of Eurovision 2024 on May 7 in Malmo, Sweden.
