Eurovision 2024: Stage construction underway in Malmö Arena

• The 68th Eurovision Song Contest is in the house as the organisers have commenced the stage set up for the upcoming contest in Malmö Arena.

  Thunder and lightning it's getting exciting...... the countdown to the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö getting closer to the dates of the 68th Eurovision with the organisers, SVT and EBU, in full steam making all the  preparations. 

  The organisers of the event have taken over the space in Malmö Arena and the equipment for the stage set up is been progressively allocated in the venue in order for the technicians to start forming the stage.

  The Swedish host broadcasteer, SVT, is taking care of all the sound and stage equipment in oder to be ready until the last days of this month when the rehearsals will kick off.  

  

   The 68th edition of Eurovision will take place in a familiar to the fans venue which had also housed the event in the previous times too. 
  

  With a capacity of 12,600 for sports and 15,500 for concerts, Malmö Arena is the second-largest indoor arena in Sweden, only trailing the Ericsson Globe, located in Stockholm. Ground was broken on 10 January 2007, and the arena was inaugurated on 6 November 2008.

  This marks Malmö's third time of hosting the contest after 1992 and 2013 and will be Sweden'σ 7th time to host the event,  Stockholm (1975, 2000, 2016), Goteborg (1985) and Malmo (1992, 2013).

   

  Eurovision 2024

  Following Loreen's victorious participation with 'Tatoo' in Liverpool last year , the next contest will be taking place in Malmo. Sweden.Malmö will host the contest for the third time, having previously hosted in 1992 and 2013.

  Eurovision 2024 is set to unfold on May 7, 9 with the two semifinals and on May 11 with the Grand final in Malmo Arena. A total of 37 countires will be participating in the 68th edition . 

  In this year's edition EBU established the slogan 'United by Music' as the permanent slogan of the contest while 'Eurovision Light' is the title of the 2024 contest's theme art.
