Eurovision 2023: The 10 First Semi-Final Qualifiers

The First Semi Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 took place this evening at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool determining the first ten qualifiers for this year's Grand final show.
After months of national selections and preparations and following a week of rehearsals in Liverpool the first semi final live show was held tonight selecting the first ten acts that made it through to the final show.
Julia Sanina, Hannah Waddingham and Alesha Dixon had the honor to guide the viewers throughout tonight's show, which a saw a total of 15 acts representing on stage their countries and giving the battle to secure one of the ten qualifying spots to the Grand final.
As this year's contest is held on behalf of Ukraine the organisers are paying respect to the nation in many ways. The show kicked off with Julia Sanina, member of the band The Hardkiss, performing Mayak and Together in electric dreams.
The 15 competing acts took the stage and performed their entries live on air before an the audience, with the viewers in the competing countries and those of Germany, France and Italy been able to cast their vote to determine the outcome of the semi-final which this year is determined exclusively by televoting. In addition international viewers are able to cast their votes through the official Eurovision app, with their points included as a seperate set of points.

Netherlands: Mia Nicolai & Dion Cooper - Burning Daylight
Finland: Käärijä - Cha Cha Cha
Before the voting results were announced past Eurovision participant Alyosha (2010) featured the show singing Ordinary world along with with Rebecca Ferguson. In addtion, world star Rita Ora graced the stage by performing some of her worlwide hits and her newly released single Praising you.
