Eurovision 2021: AVROTROS reveals the ESC 2021 Core Team members

The Dutch host Eurovision 2021 broadcaster, AVROTROS, has revealed the ESC 2021 Core Team which will be responsible for the smooth conduct of the next contest in Rotterdam.
Following the confirmation of the Eurovision 2021 dates, the three Dutch host broadcasters have formed the Core team for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. The team is made up of 2 Executive Producers and 2 Deputy Executive Producers maitaining the 2020 formula.
The Eurovision 2021 Executive Producers Team
The ESC 2021 Core Team is made up pretty much by the same people that formed this year's team with the exception of Inge van de Weerd has chosen to step down from her position as Executive Producer and return to the NOS Events department. Her place in the team is filled by Astrit Dutrenit which joins next year's Executive Producers team. Therefore the four members of the next contest's core team are:
- Sietse Bakker ( Executive Producer)
- Emilie Sikinghe (Deputy Executive Producer)
- Jessica Stam ( Deputy Executive Producer)
- Astrid Dutrenit (Executive Producer)
Sietse Bakker was for several years the Online Manager and Communication Manager of the Eurovision Song Contest. For six years he served for EBU as the Contest’s Event Supervisor. Bakker was also the Executive Supervisor of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for two years, in 2011 and in 2012 when the contest was hosted in Amsterdam .
Emilie Sickinghe has worked at AVROTROS since 2006 as a Producer/compiler of various music programms, and since 2010 as the Dutch Head of Delegation for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Jessica Stam has been working as a freelancer for NOS Events for many years which included large and special projects such as 3FM Serious Request, the Koningsvaart, the National Remembrance of MH17, National Veterans Day, Alpe d’HuZes and Prinsjesdag. She was also Executive Producer for 538 Koningsdag (Breda), the Songfestival Sing Along in the Ziggodome (for SBS / Sanoma) and various other concerts & productions. Her life motto is ‘do what your heart is going to sing‘ which fits well with the project ahead of her.
Astrid Dutrénit, is the new member of the core team. She has worked at NOS since 2003. Dutrenit graduated from the School of Journalism in Bordeaux and the Institut Francais de Presse in Paris. In the Netherlands she followed a Master Film & Television at the UVA in Amsterdam. As a Senior Producer, she has a wide exprerience as a prodducer in major events among with the programs around the Tour de France, the European Athletics Championships (2016) and the Sports Gala (2011 – 2018). Last year she was involved in the organization from another position while within the framework of NOS she has collaborated with EBU in several occasions.
The week to followi will find the members of the core team putting on the table all the scenarios they must have ready to unwind in order to adjust in the unstable enviroment the covid-19 pandemic has brought.
The next Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place in Rotterdam on May 18,20 and 22 at Rotterdam Ahoy.
