The Netherlands: Junior Songfestival 2020 song titles unveiled

  • The Dutch broadcaster, AVROTROS, has unveiled the titles of the songs that will be competing in this year's Junior Songfestival, the national selection through which the country will select its JESC 2020 act and entry. 

    Following the names of the 4 acts that will compete in this year's Junior Eurovision national selection, AVROTOS, has unveiled the titled of the songs that will compete in Junior Songfestival. The song titles are the following: 

     

    Unity - Best Friends 

    Jackie & Janae - It's You and Me 

    T-Square - Count on Me 

    Robin - Mee (Along)

     

    The national final of Junior Songfestival 2020 that will determine the Dutch act at Junior Eurovision 2020 in Poland, is set to take place in Rotterdam Ahoy on September 26. This will be the first time the national final is taking place in Rotterdam Ahoy, which had hosted Junior Eurovision back in 2007. 

     

    The Netherlands in Junior Eurovision

    The Netherlands has been participating in the contest since day 1 in 2003 and haven’t missed a year. In 2009 they won the competition and have achieved nine times to finish in the top 10 places. The country’s worst place came in 2015 when it finished 15th. In 2019 the country was represented by the duo Max & Anne and their entry Samen, which finished in 13th place with 91 points.

    Last year, Matheu represented the nation in Gliwice with his song "Dans met jou" which finished in the 4th place with 186 points.
