Russia: Tanya Mezhentseva releases English version of her JESC 2021 entry 'Mon ami'

  • The Russian Junior Eurovision 2021 hopeful, Tanya Mezhentseva, has released the english version of her entry 'Mon ami'.

    Tanya won the Russian national final for Junior Eurovision 2021 with the song Mon Ami performed at the national selection in Russian. Tanya is returning on the Junior Eurovision stage for a second time after her participation in Gliwice-Silesia at JESC 2019, as member of the duo with  Denberel Oorzhak performing the song A Time For Us , which finished in the 13th place with 72 points.

    Tanya's entry  speaks of simple things that we must not forget. The most important thing is to live with an open heart and love without hatred and anger.

    Now the the Russian hopeful has released a revamped version of her song in English. Behind the new version of “Mon Ami” is Alex Davia who has been involved in several Eurovision Song Contest entries. He penned  Moldova’s 2007 and 2012 entries and was also behind the production of the country's entries in 2009 and 2010.

     

    Russia in Junior Eurovision 

    Russia debuted at the competition in 2005 and has all years achieved to finish in the top 10 places.  The country has won twice the contest , in 2006 with the Tolmachevy Sisters who performed "Vesenniy Jazz" and 2017 with Polina Bogusevich singing "Wings". In 2019 the country was represented in Gliwice by Tatyana Mezhentseva and Denberel Oorzhak with the song “A Time For Us”  which ended at 13th place with 72 points.

    Last year, Sofia Feskova won the national selection and represented the country in Warsaw with her song 'My New Day' which finished 10th with 88 points in total.
