Monday, 29 June 2020

  • Kazakh broadcaster Khabar TV  has confirmed that Kazakhstan will be joining the list of participating countries in Junior Eurovision 2020 marking its third successive participation.

Khabar Tv has announced that the country will be present in Warsaw next November for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, as it has been invited by EBU to take part in the next edition of the competition.

So far the country is only an associate EBU member since 2016, so has the right to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest only after an invitation by EBU to join the event, pretty much as Australia was doing the recent years. However, the contest has been aired the last years in Kazakhstan.

Khabar TV has confirmed that it received such invitiation and is ready to fulfil its 3rd junior Eurovision participation in a row. The news came out from the broadcaster's twitter account

"Kazakhstan will take part in Junior Eurovision 2020. Kazakhstan has been invited for the third time to take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Poland. The decision was announced as a result of a decision by the European Broadcasting Union’s Steering Committee."
