Romania: TVR will not return to Junior Eurovision in 2021

The Romanian national broadcaster, TVR, has confrmed that the country will not be returning to Junior Eurovision in this year's contest in Paris next December.
One more country joins the lists of nations that have ruled out their comeback in this year's Junior Eurovision in Paris. The press department of the Romanian Television Society, TVR, has confirmed to Eurofestivales that TVR will not participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021.
Thus Romania takes the same path as Bulgaria, Denmark, Latvia, Moldova, Norway, San Marino, Sweden, and Switzerland which all have ruled out their return to Junior Eurovision in 2021.
Junior Eurovision 2021 is set to take place on December 19 in Paris, France at the La Seine Musicale with 10 countries so far confirming their participation.
Romania in Junior Eurovision
Romania participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest from the first Contest in 2003 until 2009. In their debut the country was represented by Ioana Bianca Anuța who performed “Ai puterea în mâna ta” and finished last with 19 points.
Their best result came in their second participation, when Noni Răzvan Ene came fourth at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with "Îți mulțumesc".
The Romanian broadcaster TVR hosted the 2006 Contest, where it was held at Sala Polivalentă in Bucharest on 2 December 2006.In 2010, TVR withdrew from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
