Kazakhstan: Beknur Jánibekuly & Álınur Khamzin to Junior Eurovision with “Ertegi alemi”

  • Beknur Jánibekuly & Álınur Khamzin with  will represent Kazakhstan at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris, France performing “Ertegi alemi” (The world of fairytales).

    The Kazakh national final for Junior Eurovision took place today in which 10 young talented acts competed for the right to represent the country at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris on December 19.

    After receiving a total of 819 applications by young acts that ambition to represent the country in Junior Eurovision 2021, a  special jury of Khabar tv shorlisted 30 acts who went through an online voting  via which todays  10 acts reached today's national final show. 

    The national final saw the following 10 acts with their repsective songs: 

    1. Beknur Jánibekuly – Human – 4.9% + 25.1% – 30.5% 
    2. Álınur Khamzin – Ertegi alemi – 17.1% + 13.4% – 30.5% 
    3. Ábilqaıyr Jumabaı – Indigo Bala – 16.7% + 8.6% – 25.6%
    4. Aıǵanym Amantaı – Armanym – 10.9% + 14.2% – 25.1%
    5. Álimjan Túgelbaı – Senem ali – 7.8% + 9.3% – 17.1%
    6. Amina Asǵatova – Qimylda – 14.3% + 2.2% – 16.5%
    7. Adina Súlenova – Akeshim – 3.4% + 12.4% – 15.8%
    8. Armen Saakyan – Bala mahabbat – 11.7% + 3.6% – 15.3%
    9. Zhan Makim – Bile – 8.1% + 6% – 14.1%
    10. Ekaterina Tabarina – Fotomodel – 4.9% + 4.7% – 9.6%

    THE RESULT

    The final outcome was determined by a combination of jury and public voting. However, when both voting reults were added up the result saw a tie between Beknur Jánibekuly (Human) and Álınur Khamzin (Ertegi alemi) with 30,5% each. After a deliberation of the jury and the songwirters it was decided both of the acts to fly to Paris and perform the song 'Ertegi Alemi' ( World of fairytales) at Junior Eurovision 2021.

    Kazakhstan in Junior Eurovision 

    Kazakhstan debuted at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2018 after EBU’s invitation to broadcaster, Khabar Agency, to join the contest. The country was represented by the national final winner,  Daneliya Tuleshova and her entry “Ózińe sen” which finished in 5th place at the competition held in Minsk, Belarus. 

    In 2019 12-year-old Yerzhan Maksim defended the Kazakh colors in Gliwice- Silesia in Poland and after delivering a stunning vocally performance of his entry, Armanyńnan Qalma achieved to top the jury voting and finish 2nd ion the overall scoreboard.

    Last year Karakat Bashanova won the national final and represented the country with her song 'Forever' in Warsaw, Poland  achieving to finish 2nd with 152 points in the overall score.
