Junior Eurovision 2021: Israel will not return in this year's contest

Israel has confirmed that it won't be taking part in the forthcoming 19th Junior Eurovision Song set to take place next December in Paris.
The Israeli broadcaster, IPBC, has confirmed toEurofestivales that the country won't be participating in Junior Eurovision 2021 which will take place on December 19, in Paris, France.
According to Mr. Fisher, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation (KAN) prefers to put all its effort into the Eurovision Song Contest, so the country will remain out of the competition for the third year in a row.
Israel in Junior Eurovision
Israel first competed in the Children's Eurovision Song Contest in 2012, when Israel represented the band Kids.il, half of whose members are graduates of the "School of Music" program broadcast on Keshet. The band performed the song "Let the Music Win" and reached the 8th place out of 12 competing countries
Broadcasting Authority decided not to compete in 2013 but returned in 2016 with the duo Shir and Tim who performed the song "Follow My Heart". The two reached 15th place out of 17 countries.
In 2018 after a two years absense the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation decided to try its luck holding this time a national final in which six acts competed. Noam Dadon was elected as Israel's representative with the song "Children Like These" .
