Germany: Junior Eurovision 2021 selection process has kicked off

  • The German Junior Eurovision 2021 selection process,  has kicked off as the submission window for Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris?’  has opened.

     ‘Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris?’ is the format to be used in order to determine the German hopeful for Junior Eurovision 2021 in Paris. Interested acts aged 9 to 14 years old can send in their application via the Kika.de website. The deadline for submission expires on June 25, 2021

    Once the submission period is completed a jury panel will review the application and shortlist five acts which will advance to the next phase. The five acts will then go over to the KIKA studios in order to make their voting clip. This will take place from July 15 to 25. Once the clip are reeady an online voting will open via which the public will vote for the three acts that will proceed to the final of ‘Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris?’. 

    The JESC national final with the three contestants will take place on September 10, in Erfurt with each competing act performing two songs. 

     

    Germany in Junior Eurovision

    Last year was Germany's debut appearance in the competition. The nation was represened by Susan with the song "Stronger With You" which finished in 12th place with 66 points.
