Armenia: Maléna Fox to fly the flag at Junior Eurovision 2021

The Armenian national broadcaster, APMTV, has confirmed that Malena Fox will be the country's representative at the upcoming Junior Eurovision in Paris.
Armenia is back in the game at Junior Eurovision, after last year's withdrawal and have decided to send to Paris to defend the Armenian colors last year's cancelled act, Maléna Fox.
In 2020 Armemia had initially confirmed their participation in Junior Eurovision 2020 earlier in November the national broadcaster, APMTV, announced that the country will not eventually take part due to the ongoing conflict in Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) and the martial law imposed in the country.
Thus, the broadcaster has invited Malena back for Junior Eurovision 2021 giving her the chances to complete her Junior Eurovision jounrney.
The song that Malena will perform in Paris hasn't been released yet.
A few words for Malena
Maléna Fox is a 14-year-old singer from Armenia. Since early 2020, she has teamed up with the small record label TKN based in the capital city of Yerevan.
TKN was founded by record producer tokionine who was behind the compisition and co-wrote her cancelled Junior Eurovision 2020 entry, "Why". He previously produced “Walking Out”, Armenia’s Eurovision 2019 entry performed by Srbuk.
Maléna has also released on her Youtube channel two cover videos. One is of “Broken Clocks”, originally performed by American singer SZA. The other reelase is a stripped-back mashup of a number of hit R’n’B songs, including Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and The Weeknd’s “Heartless”.
Taking into account her work so far she seems to favour R’n’B songs as an artist.
Until this year's entry comes out check out her 2020 entry that was set for Warsaw but eventually didn't reach the stage in Poland. Behind the music and production was tokio9 and the song had been penned by Suzanne Khanzadian, David Tserunyan (Armenian Hod) and tokio9.
Armenia in Junior Eurovision
Armenia participated first time in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. The country has scored remarkable successive results as it has achieved a top 3 placing 7 times . Armenia won the contest back in 2010 with Vladimir Arzumanyan with his song Mama. Even on their first participation, the country almost won the competition with Arevik and her song Erazanq which finshed just one point from the top. The worst result came in 2008 with the entry Im Ergi Hnchyune, performed by Monica Manucharova, who finished 8th.
In 2018 national final winner, L.E.V.O.N, represented the country with his entry L.E.V.O.N which finished 9th in the final that took place at Minsk Arena, Belarus. Last year the landlocked country was represented by Karina Ignatyan and her song 'Colours of your Dream' which finished 9th with 115 points.
After 13 editions of consecutive appearances in Junior Eurovision, since 2007 they debuted in the contest, Armenia withdrew for the first time last year from the competition.
