Netherlands: Present at Junior Eurovision 2023

The Netherlands confrmed that they will be present at Junior Eurovision 2023 that will take place in France.
Netherlands is the first nation to confirm its Junior Eurovision 2023 participation, as the submission window for this year's contest has opened.
Young talented performers are invited to participate in the national selection for Junior Songfestival 2023 who must be at least 9 years old and not more than 14 years old are invited to take part as solo acts, duets or a group of up to six members. Full rules for Junior Songfestival 2023 can be found here. Interested acts can submit their entries until February 4, 2023.
The Netherlands in Junior Eurovision
The Netherlands has been participating in the contest since day 1 in 2003 and haven’t missed a year. In 2009 they won the competition and have achieved nine times to finish in the top 10 places. The country’s worst place came in 2015 when it finished 15th. In 2018 the country was represented by the duo Max & Anne and their entry Samen, which finished in 13th place with 91 points.
In 2019, Matheu represented the nation in Gliwice with his song "Dans met jou" which finished in the 4th place with 186 points. In 2020 the girl group UNITY won the national final and represented the nation in Warsaw, Poland with their song 'Best Friends' which finished 4th, the second fourth placing for the county in a row. In 2021 Ayana, represented the nation with the song “Mata Sugu Aō Ne” who finished scoring a total of 43 points.
Last year in Yerevan, Luna participated with the song 'La Festa' taking the 7th place with 128.
