Poland: Laura Bączkiewicz off to Junior Eurovision 2022 in Yerevan

Laura Bączkiewicz will be representing Poland at Junior Eurovision 2022 after winning the national final of 'Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior 2022' with the song 'To the moon'.
Poland selected their Junior Eurovision hopeful once again via the the show Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior 2022, the final of which took place today at Studio 5 of TVP in Warsaw and was hosted by Aleksander Sikora, the JESC 2019 presenter.
A total of four acts competed in the final who performed before a jury panel which didn't have any influence on the voting and it's role was mostly to comment on the performances. The panel consisted of:
- Rafał Brzozowski – Eurovision 2021 representative and Junior Eurovision 2020 host
- Viki Gabor – Polish Junior Eurovision 2019 winner
- Marek Sierocki – Past Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior presenter
The four contestants competed in two rounds of voting. Durng the first stage all four finalilsts performed cover songs from the round they had qualified form with two of them securing their place in a superfinal round. The four acts that took part in final were:
- Natalia Smaś – “Rain on Me”
- Ida Wargskog – “Arcade”
- Alexander Maląg – “Somebody” – Super Finalist
- Laura Bączkiewicz – “Hold My Hand” – Super Finalist
In the superfinal Alexander Maląg and Laura Bączkiewicz advanced to the superfinal round with the two acts performing their potential Junior Eurovision entries, 'On my way' and 'To the moon' respectively. Evenutually Laura was the one to win 10 points by both jury and public voting leaving second behind Alexander with 8 points from each body of voting.
- Laura Bączkiewicz – “To the Moon” 20 points (10+10) 1st
- Alexander Maląg – “On My Way” 16 points (8+8) 2nd
A few words for Laura
Laura Bączkiewicz is 11 years old and lives in Konin. He attends the 4th grade of the Primary School in Konin. On a daily basis, he learns singing at the Hit Stage Song Studio. For over 2 years he has been dubbing in cartoons, series and films. She appeared in the fifth edition of "The Voice Kids" .

Poland in Junior Eurovision
Poland’s first participation at the competition was in 2003, while she was absent the years 2005 – 2015. The country’s worst result came in 2004 when it finished 17th . In 2018 with Roksana Węgiel the country scored its first victory in Minsk, Belarus with her entry Anyone I Want To Be , which was followed by a second in a row win with Viki Gabor and her song "Superhero" in Gliwice- Silesia.
In 2020, Ala Tracz represented the national with the song “I’ll Be Standing” and came 9th with 90 points. Last year in Paris Sara James defened the Polish colors with her song 'Somebody' offering to the country one more outstanding result by finishing in 2nd place.
