Junior Eurovision 2020: Belarus confirms participation and kicks off the selection process

The Belarusian broadcaster, BTRC, joins the list of Junior Eurovision 2020 participating countries and has kicked off the selection process for the upcoming contest in Warsaw next November.
Belarus is the latest nation to join the list of participating countries in Junior Eurovision 2020 with BTRC launching the selection procedure for the upcoming contest.
According to the published rules all interested acts should send in their entries not later then August 15, while a group of specialists will pick out, before August 24, the 15 acts that will compete in the national final. The next Junior Eurovision representative will be selected either intenally via a professional jury until September 16 or through televised national final show that will take place no longer after October 16.
Belarus in Junior Eurovision
Belarus debuted in the competition in 2003. From all the years of participation only two of them didn’t manage to achieve a top 10 placing (2004 and 2018) while in 2005 and 2007 brought th trophy home. In 2018 Daniel Yastremski rerpesented the ex soviet state with his entry Time, which came 11th with 114 points.
Last year national final winner Elizaveta Misnikova represented the country with her entry Pepelniy which came 11th with 92 points.
