JESC 2022 Meet & Greet Interviews: Sophie Lennon from Ireland brings her light on the Junior Eurovision stage

  • Eurofans Radio meets the Irish Junior Eurovision 2022 hopeful, Sophie Lenno to perform 'Solas' in Yerevan. 

    Eurofans Radio is holding short selfie Meet & Greet sessions with this year's Junior Eurovision 2022 stars, in a quick and spontaneous chat with them. 

    Our meet & greet sessions continue with Sophie Lenno who is representing Ireland at this year's Junior Eurovision in Yerevan, singing 'Solas' that translates to 'Light' in English. 

     

    A few words for Sophie

    Sophie Lennon hails from Mayobridge in County Down in Northern Ireland. From a young age she has been performing on stages among which several TV  shows such as Ireland’s Got Talent and The Late Late Toy Show. She had taken part  also in the Irish selection  of Junior Eurovision Éire 2021 when she reached the final finishing third.

    Sophie Lennon won the Irish national final Junior Eurovision Éire 2022 and will be representing the nation at Junior Eurovision 2022 singing 'Solas' which means 'Light'

    The song has been written and composed by Niall Mooney, Jonas Gladnikoff, Matthew Ker, Hannah Featherstone and Ken McHugh. Notably, Niall Mooney has penned alll the Irish Junior Eurovision entries since 2018, while Jonas has been behind the composition for the Irish Eurovision entries of 2009, 2010 and 2014 and three Irish Junior Eurovision entries (2015, 2018 and 2019).

    The music video which was filmed at County Donegal's Fánaid Lighthouse located on the northwestern coastline of Ireland.
