Italy: Chanel Dilecta drops her Junior Eurovision 2022 song 'Bla Bla Bla'

  • The Italian Junior Eurovision 2022 representative, Chanel Dilecta, has dropped her entry for the contest titled 'Bla Bla Bla'

    The Italian act that will be representing the nation at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan, Armenia has released her entry 'Bla Bla Bla'

    When it comes to promises around the environment, climate change and peace Chanel says for young people there should be instant action otherwise prmises turn into empty word and 'Bla Bla Bla'. The song was composed by Marco Iardella and was penned by Carmine Spera, Fabrizio Palaferri, Angela Senatore.

    Along with the song was released the official music video of 'Bla Bla Bla'. 

     

    A few words for Chanel

    Chanel Dilecta Apolloni has been studying singing and ballet since the age of 4, along with piano,modern dance and the performing arts. She is an all-round performer who has already participated in international competitions such as the TMF (Tour Music Fest) 2021, the Italian Performer Cup and the talent The Coach.

    In her spare time Chanel Dilecta designs jewelry, has a passion for reading, knitting and enjoys solving Rubik's cubes. He lives in Thiene, in the province of Vicenza, with her family and his toothless dog called Rambo.

     

    Italy in Junior Eurovision

    The country made its debut in the competition in the 2014 edition in Malta. The internally selected  Vincenzo Cantiello represented the country with the song "Tu primo grande amore" achieving to bring the trophy on home soil on the nation's first apprearance. That made Italy the second country that won with the debut entry after Croatia's victory in the first edition.

    Italy hasn't missed an edition since then apart from the 2020 one due to the covid-10 pandemic. It's next best placing came in 2016 with Flamma Boccia who came 3rd performing "Cara Mamma' (Dear Mom) . In 2018 the flag flew the duo Melissa and Marco with their entry “What is Love“, which finished in 7th place with 151 points, while in 2019 Marta Viola with "La Voce Della Terra"  at Gliwice-Silesia, Poland gave another 7th placing for the country. 

    In 2021 in Paris Elisabetta Lizza defended the Italian colors with the song “Specchio (Mirror On The Wall)” finishing 10th with an overall score of 107 points.
