The semi-final of the Irish national selection for Junior Eurovision 2022 determined this evening the line-up of the final show of Junior Eurovision Éire 2022.
Following four qualifyimg heats the previous weeks the Irish selection for Junior Eurovision 2022 reached tonight the semifinals in which 8 competing acts performed and battled for three spots that lead to next week's final show. The show was hosted by Louise Cantillon accompanied by Darragh Ó Caoimh.
In the semi-final all competing acts took the stage one time with two of them qualifying directly to the final while the next two went in a sing-off duel in order to determine the third and last finalist.
Like previous year's a panel of judges includes two permanent jurors while the third spot is filled in by a guest judge every week. Namely, the two permanent jurors are:
- Niamh Ní Chróinín – Host of TG4 youth programming Cúla4, headof Irish-language radio station Raidió Rí-Rá for young people
- Chris Greene – RTÉ 2fm host
In this semifinal show the third judge's seat was filled in by Brooke who represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy.
Namely the acts that formed the semi-final line up were:

- Amber Dawes – “Falling Slowly”
From the sing-off duel between Clare and Lara, the jury favored Clare to advance to the finals as the third and last finalist. Thus in next week's final we will see the folllowing three acts compete for the ticket to Junior Eurovision 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia:
- Clare Keeley
