Germany: Pauline to Junior Eurovision 2021 with the song 'Imagine Us'

  • Pauline will be Germany's Junior Eurovisin 2021 hopeful in Paris after winning the German national selection show Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris?  with the song "Imagine Us".

    And we have our first Junior Eurovision 2021 act as Germany held its JESC national final Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris?  in the Central Club in Erfurt.  Hosts of the  show were  Jessica Schöne and Ben Blümel, while a jury panel that commneted on the competing performances was formed by Gabriel Kelly, Selina Mour and Hannah. On the the show also appeared as a guest last year's JESC act , Susan.

    The contestants of the national final were: 

    • Marta – “Imagine Us”
    • Pauline –  “Imagine Us” 
    • Emilie – “Imagine Us”
    • Marta – “Gut so”
    • Pauline – “Hausboot”
    • Emilie – “Gut so”

    The result was determined exclusively by the public, which voted online in two rounds. First round determined that act and second round the song. Each of the three competing acts performed two potential entries choosing out of three. Pauline won the first round of the online voting while the song 'Imagine Us' was selected in the second round as the next German JESC entry. 

     

    A few words for Pauline

    Pauline is 12 years old and lives near Koblenz in Rheinland-Pfalz. She plays the drums, piano and enjoys playing theatre games. Pauline has won several prizes at 'Jugend Musiziert’ (Young People Make Music), a famous music funding project in Germany that has hundreds of thousands of participants.

     

    Germany in Junior Eurovision

    Last year was Germany's debut appearance in the competition. The nation was represened by Susan with the song "Stronger With You" which finished in 12th place with 66 points.
