Albania: RTSH confirms Junior Eurovision 2023 participation

The Albanian national broadcaster, RTSH, has confirmed that they will be present in Nice, France for Junior Eurovision 2023.
Albania will continue to participate in Junior Eurovision in 2023 and will be taking part in the 21st edition in Nice, France next November.
The next Junior Eurovision representative will be selected via the national selection format of Junior Fest which has been the formula Albania is using since 2012.
Albania in Junior Eurovision
Albania has been taking part in Junior Eurovision since 2012 and has missed out the edition in 2013 and 2014. The best result came in 2015 when the country finished 5th with Mishela Rapo singing Dambaje while in 2018 Efi Gjika who finished 17th with her entry Barbie and in 2019 in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland, where Isea Çili finished 17th with “Mikja ime fëmijëri”.
While the country withdrew in 2020 from the competition in Warsaw, they retunred in 2021 with Anna Gjebrea singing in Paris “Stand by You” which finished 14th with 84 points.
Last year Junior Fest winner Kejtlin Gjata represented Albania with her song “Pakëz diell”, finishing in 12th place.
