  • The Russian Eurovision 2021 hopeful, Manizha, performed live her ESC entry "Russian Woman" at the Zhara Music Awards 2021.

    The 4th edition of the Russian Zhara Music Awards ceremony was held on last evening in Moscow at the Crocus City Hall. The event was hosted by Ksenia Sobchak and Philipp Kirkorov.

    The annual ceremony saw several nominations for former Eurovision participants, among which a significant number won their category of nomination. Namely, Svetlana Loboda won the award for the female singer of the year whilst her album "Sold Out" was nominated for best album. Philipp Kirkorov received the male video of the year award for “Romani”  while the award of the Cosmopolitan magazine won Polina Gagarina, with Ani Lorak being nominated in the same category. 

    Last year's Russian hopefuls,  Little Big were nominated for Band,  song & video of the year for “UNO”,  while Dima Bilan, Sergey Lazarev and Max Barskih were nominated for best male singer of the year. In the best female singer catefgory Ani Lorak and Polina Gagarina were also nominated while , Maruv & Danya Milokhin for Soundtrack of the year. You can watch the full show HERE

    A few words for Manizha

    Manizha Dalerovna Sangin born 8 July 1991, known professionally as simply Manizha, is a Russian-Tajik singer and songwriter. Beginning her career in 2003 as a child singer, Manizha went on to perform with the music groups Ru.KolaAssai, and Krip De Shin, before later pursuing a solo career. In 2016, Manizha released  several independently-released singles. The singles were followed up by the release of her debut studio album Manuscript, which was independently released in February 2017.Her second studio album ЯIAM was r released in March 2018.

    Over a month ago Manizha won the Russian national final which saw three acts in the race. Following her national final win with her song "Russian Woman" Manizha has released a revamp of her entry for the 65th Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam next May.
