Eurovision 2021: First Rehearsal for Jendrik from Germany

Eurovision 2021: First Rehearsal for Jendrik from Germany
Thursday, 13 May 2021

  • Jendrik from Germany is the second act from the Big-5 countries to take the stage for his first rehearsal of 'I don't feel hate'.

Jendrik Sigwart was born in Hamburg and has  learned piano and violin as a teenager and studied musicals for four years at the Institute for Music at the University of Osnabrück

Jendrik was internally selected to represent Germany in the 65th Eurovision Song Contest. Aside from the musical stage, Jendrik also writes his own songs on his ukulele  with sometimes funny, sometimes thought-provoking texts in German or English and with refreshing catchy tunes. He then performs this accompanied by himself on the ukulele and accordingly most of the songs he can find are presented in acoustic versions.

    The Staging

Jendrik, Germany, First Rehearsal, Rotterdam Ahoy, 13 May 2021

Jendrik takes the stage for the first rehearsal carrying his ukulele and wearing a pink jacket and is accompanied by 3 people on vocals and a dancer, who wears a hadn shaped uniform that makes the sign of victory. On the led screen several hate comments are displayed but which collapse and give place  to many colors. He is really energetic on stage moving around and dancing across the stage interacting with the rest of the people on stage. A very uplifting and happy colorful performance.

His vocals are very good and the ongoing motion doesn't affect his vocal stability.
