Eurovision 2021 betting odds: Which entries are the bookies' favorites up to date
Monday, 19 April 2021

  • Like every year the bookies's predictions for which country will win the Eurovision trophy is one of the side factors on the road towards each contest. With the competition around the corner slight changes have taken place in the betting odds with the top 10 reflecting a firm picture.

With all delegations in full steam making their final preparations just 41 days before the contest, the betting odds are reflecting a temporary but kind of clear picture of who the favorites are for this year's contest. Lets go an see which countries have an early lead on the betting odds board so far:

The top 5 favorites for victory

Comparing to last week's betting odds, Malta is still in the lead as Destiny is the bookie's favorite to win the 2021 contest. However she is followed close behind by France's Barbara Pravi , who seems to be narrowing the gap between the first two places trending to climber further up. However Barbara is feeling  Gjon's Tears's breath as Switzerland is 1% away from regaining the 2nd place althought the betting trend has gone red over the week. Meanwhile Italy continues to incrase bookies trust in the betting odds  as Maneskin maintain their 4th placing but with a trend of more bets being placed on their victory. The top 5 closes with  Bulgaria's Victoria which seems to be keeping her position firmly in the bets.

    Places 6 to 10

Apart from Greece's entrance in the top 10 with Stefania placed now in the betting odd in 10th place, the only chance in the top 10 is  the switch of place between the Lithuanian hopefuls, The Roop, who passed Iceland and are now 7th in the betting odds with Daði & Gagnamagnið from Iceland falling one position and are now 8th.

Sweden's Tusse and TIX from Norway enjoy their 5th and 9th place respectively quietly and firmly over the last 7 days. Here is how the top 10 looks like up to date:

Which entries follow the top 10

Close to enter the top 10 places is Senhit from San Marino with a breath away from Greece, currently place 11th while Elena Tsagrinou from Cyprus follows closely in 12th place.  While most of the places see now change, an exception is Israel's Eden Alene who gained one spot over the week and is now 18th with Azerbaijan's Efendi falling one down to 19th place.

You can see below all places from 11-20 :

    The overall impression

Until all songs were out the board of betting odds saw up and downs for several countries and significant changes.  With  20 days to go for the contest rehearsals to kick off and with the pre parties cancelled this year we don't have many occassions in which the acts can perform live their songs.

Thus major changes in the placings are not expected until rehearsals kick off and we start having a more clear impression on the staging of the 39 performances. Rehearsals have been always a major factor of influence for the betting odds, not only for the favorites to win, but for semi final qualifiers and the overall placings.

However at the moment the battle seem to be a case of three with Malta, France and and Switzerland in the top 3 places maintaining a firm lead from the rest positions below. Italy also seems to have a ongoing trend of receiving more bets over the day. In any case it's going to be an exciting Eurovision Song Contest as no one can claim at the moment a secured victory in Rotterdam.

But until we reach that turning point on the road to the live shows Destiny from Malta is still the bookie's queen for victory!
