Tonight: Two Grand final and two semi-final selection shows for Eurovision 2024

The national selections continue across Europe with two Iceland and Serbia deciding this evening for Eurovision 2024 while Sweden and Portugal are holding semi-final shows.
Two Grand finals and two semi-final show are set to hit the screen this evening. Namely here is how the night will unfold regarding the national selections:
- Sweden – Melodifestivalen 2024 – Heat Five – 20:00 CET
- Iceland – Söngvakeppnin 2024 – Grand Final – 20:45 CET
- Serbia – Pesma za Evroviziju 2024 – Grand Final – 21:00 CET
- Portugal – Festival da Canção 2024 – Semi-Final Two – 22:05 CET
Sweden – Melodifestivalen 2024 – Heat Five – 20:00 CET
Sweden's quest for Eurovision 2024 is one step away the Grand final of Melodifestivalen 2024, with the last fifth heat taking place tonight in Karlstad.
The last set of six candidate will take the stage and appear in the following running order:
- Marcus & Martinus – “Unforgettable”
- Chelsea Muco – “Controlla”
- Jay Smith – “Back to My Roots”
- Elektra – “Banna maj” (Ban me)
- Annika Wickihalder – “Light”
- Medina – “Que Sera” (What will be)
In addition two more spots extrs will be determined tonight for the Grand final from the acts that finished third and fourth in each of the previous heat. The acts will go into an additional voting by the Swedish public, and the two with the highest points will fill in the last two place of the Grand final.
In this Second Chance round from the previous four rounds we have:

Iceland – Söngvakeppnin 2024 – Grand Final – 20:45 CET
Following the the first and second semi-final of Söngvakeppnin 2024, the time for Iceland to decide for Eurovision 2024 has come with the Grand final show of the national selection.
Icelandic broadcaster RÚV, has announced on its website that the final decision on Eurovision participation and whether the winner of the the winner of Söngvakeppnin 2024 will be flying to Malmo will be decided in consultation with the winning act, in the light of the facts in Gaza.
Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir, Sigurður Þorri Gunnarsson, and Unnsteinn Manuel Stefánsson will be the show's hosts.
A total of five contestants will be competing for the right to represent Icelad at Eurovision 2024:
- VÆB – “Bíómynd“
- Hera Björk – “Scared of Heights”
- ANITA – “Downfall“
- Bashar Murad – “Wild West“
- Sigga Ózk – “Into The Atmosphere”
Also on the show will appear Diljá (Iceland 2023) and Selma (Iceland 1999 and 2005).
The Result
During today's grand final the result will come out through two rounds of voting. In the first round the combined public and jury voting will decide which two songs will advance to a Super Final round. In the Superfinal round , the Icelandic public exclusively will determine the final winner and next Eurovision representative.

Serbia – Pesma za Evroviziju 2024 – Grand Final – 21:00 CET
After the first and second semi-final of the Serbian national selection for Eurovision the moment of truth has come with the grand final of Pesma za Evroviziju 2024.
Live from Belgrade 16 acts will take the stage to give their battle for the right to represent Serbia at Eurovision 2024. Dragana Kosjerina and Slaven Došlo will guide as hosts the audience through the show, while Kristina Radenković and Stefan Popović will be in the green room for a successive third year.
The 16 contestants and potential Eurovision representatives we'll tonight are:

- Džordži – “Luna park”
- Breskvica – “Gnezdo orlovo”
- Teya Dora – “Ramonda”
- Hristina – “Bedem”
- Marko Mandić – “Dno”
- M.IRA – “Percepcija”

- Milan Bujaković – “Moje tvoje”
- Zorja – “Lik u ogledalu”
- Keni nije mrtav – “Dijamanti”
- Zejna – “Najbolja”

The outcome of the final will be determined by public and jury voting with a 50% contribution each one.

Portugal – Festival da Canção 2024 – Semi-Final Two – 22:05 CET
Following the results of the first semi-final show Porutgal continues their national selection for Eurovision 2024 with the 2nd semi- final of Festival da Canção 2024.
Portugal is using once again its traditional national selection format of Festival da Canção which is running for its 58th edition. The 2nd semi final show will take place in RTP studios in Lisbon and will be hosted by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira, José Carlos Malato and Inês Lopes Gonçalves.
An in studio jury by 50% and the public vote by another 50% will determined the last six qualifiers to advance to the Grand final show set for March 9,2024. The jury is made up by the following members:
- Gisela João – singer
- Benjamim – musician
- Lia Pereira – journalist
- Miguel Esteves Cardoso – songwriter
- Lura – singer
- Pedro Oliveira – musician
- Mimicat – Portugal's Eurovision 2023 act
During the first round of votes, an experts jury and televote will determine five qualifiers. In the second round, the remaining five songs will go into an additional round of voting exclusively by public selecting a sixth finalist.
