Tonight: The Festival da Canção 2023 Grand Final to determine Portugal's Eurovision 2023 representative

The Portuguese national selection for Eurovision 2023 concludes this evening with the Grand final show of Festival da Canção taking place in Lisbon.
Portugal used once again this year its tradional national selection format of Festival da Canção which will be running for its 57th edition.
A total of 20 composers are behind the competing entries of Festival da Canção 2023. From those five were selected from the public submissions while the rest 15 were invited directly be RTP. Initially the invitation was sent to 16 composers with one of them withdrawing eventually due to personal reasons and his spot was filled in by one extra public submission.
After two semi-final heats the Grand final will take place to determine which act will be reprsenting Portugal at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool. The show will host Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim and Inês Lopes Gonçalves live from Lisbon.
A total of 13 acts will compete for the right to fly the flag at Eurovision:

- Churky – “Encruzilhad”
- Esse Povo – “Sapatos de Cimento”
- Bárbara Tinoco – “Goodnight”
- You Can’t Win, Charlie Brown – “Contraste Mudo”
- Voodoo Marmalade – “Tormento”
- Inês Apenas – “Fim do Mundo”
- Mimicat – “Ai Coração”
- Dapunksportif – “World Needs Therapy”
- NEOH SOHO – “Endless World”
- Ivandro – “Povo”
- Edmundo Inácio – “A Festa”
- SAL – “Viver”
The result
The winner and next Portuguese Eurovision hopeful will be determined 50% by public voting and 50% by the votes of seven regional juries.
