  • The Norwegian national selection for Eurovision 2023 kicks off tonight with the first semi final show of Melodi Grand Prix 2023. 

    The first semi final of MGP 2023 is opening Norway's quest for their next Eurovision hopeful with seven acts taking the stage in Oslo in order to secure one of the three spots that lead to the Grand Final of February 4. The show will be presented to us by Arianrhod Engebø and Staysman.

    The seven acts to take part in this evening's semi-final are: 

    1. Alessandra Mele — “Queen of Kings”
    2. Eirik Næss — “Wave”
    3. Rasmus Thall — “TRESKO” (CLOGS)
    4. Kate Gulbrandsen — “Tårer i paradis” (Tears in paradise)
    5. Umami Tsunami — “Geronimo”
    6. Ulrikke — “Honestly”
    7. Jowst & Byron Williams Jr — “Freaky for the Weekend”

     

    The three qualifiers to the final will be determined exclusively by the public voting.
