Poland: Eurovision 2023 national final participants unveiled

The Polish broadcaster, TVP, has revealed the participants of the Eurovision 2023 national final, Tu bije serce Europy – Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję!
Poland will be selecting this year's Eurovision hopeful through the national final show of Tu bije serce Europy – Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję!
A total of 10 artists will be competing in the national final for Eurovision 2023 and TVP has released the names and the song titles of the competition that will determined the Polisth Eurovision 2023 delegate.
Namely the acts in the run for Liverpool along with their songs are :
- Alicja Szemplińska – “New Home”
- Ahlena – “Booty”
- Blanka – “Solo”
- Dominik Dudek – “Be Good”
- Felivers – “Never Back Down”
- Yan Majewski – “Champion”
- Jann – “Gladiator”
- Kuba – “You Do Me”
- Maja Hyży – “Never Hide”
- Natasza – “Lift You Up”
Among the contestants we see Alicja Szemplińska who was selected to represent Poland in Eurovision 2020 with the song 'Empires' but sadly never had the chance to complete her Eurovsion journey as the contest was cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Tu bije serce Europy – Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję!
The national final in Poland is set for February 26, 2023. Ten acts will perform on stage for the golden tickets that leads to Liverpool.
The winner will be determined through a two round voting process. In the first round the results will be influenced equally by jury and public voting (50% each). The Jury members will rank the 10 competing acts from 1 to 10 and their socre will be converted into a percentage figure that will be conbined with the percentage from the sms public voting results. The top three entries will advance to the second round of voting.
During the second round of voting, the score will start from zero basis, with the jury and public contributing in deciding the winner. The jurors at this stage will rank the competitng act from 1 to 3. However, in case of a tie the jury will have the final say of who will fly to Liverpool in May.
In addition the Polish broadcaster, TVP, has the right to pick one more act as a wildcard rising the number of finalists to 11. All acts selected to take part in the national final should send To TVP until February 20 the final version of their song, music video and any other promotional material along with a plan for the staging of the song.
Poland in Eurovision
Poland debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 with Edyta Gorniak‘s To nie ja, achieving the best result for the country uo to date. The country which has participated 21 times in the contest and counts mixed results . It has managed a top 10 placing only three times. Due to poor results and financial issues and was absent from the competition for three consecutive years until their return in 2014.
In 2018 Gromee feat Lukas Meijer represented the countey with their song Light me up but unfortunately were left out of the grand final. In 2019 Tulia with “Fire of Love (Pali się)“ represented the country but failed to reach the grand final as they finished 11th in the first semi final .
In 2020 Alicja Szemplińska was set to represent the nation in Rotterdam with her song Empires, following her win in the national final “Szansa na sukces 2020″ . However the contest was cancelled due to the covid-19 outbreak and Alicja never had the chance to perform her entry on Rotterdam Ahoy's stage. Last year Rafał Brzozowski was internally selected to represent Poland in Rotterdam with his song "The Ride". The Polish act despite his energetic performance on stage didn't make it to the Grand final show.
This year Crystian Ochman won the Polish national final wit the song 'River' and went on representing the country in Turin where he finished 12th in the Grand final.
