Malta: The Busker win their spot in Eurovision 2023 with "Dance (Our Own Party)"

The Busker will represent Malta at Eurovision 2023 performing the song 'Dance (Our Own Party)' after winning the final of "MESC 2023'.
The Maltese national broadcaster, PBS selectied their Eurovision 2023 hopeful via the national final 'Malta Eurovision Song Contest', the show which is used to select the country's representative.
The national selection included three quarter-final shows, one semi final round and a Grand final show. A total of 24 acts competed in the semifinal with 16 contestants securing a spot the Grand final show.The final was hosted by Glen Vella and Amber Bondin.
The 16 acts that competed in MESC 2023 national final were:

The Busker is a Maltese musical group formed in 2012 and composed of David "Dav.Jr" Grech, Jean Paul Borg and Sean Meachen. The Busker were formed in October 2012 as a duo composed of singer and guitarist Dario Genovese and percussionist Jean Paul Borg. Two years later, bassist and keyboardist David Grech and saxophonist Sean Meachen were added. The group inspired a pop band of the 60s like the Beatles and the Beach Boys. He started to publish cover and original music on YouTube. In 2017 they released their debut album, Telegram, followed the following year by Ladies and Gentlemen. Dario Genovese left the group in 2021.
