Malta: Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2023 finalists determined

The Grand final line-up of the the Maltese national selection for Eurovision 2023 has been determined after this evening's semi-final show.

After four qualifying rounds and this evening's semi-final the 16 finalists who will will give the final battle for the ticket to Liverpool in the Grand final show have been determined.

The semi-final of Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2023 took place under the slogan “Let us shine” and was hosted by former Eurovision participants Glen Vella (Malta 2011) and Amber (Malta 2015)

The outcome of the semi- final was determined by a combination of public and jury voting which declared as qualifiers 16 acts out of the 24 semifinalists.

Namely the ones that won the tikcet to the final are:
1. Cheryl Balzan – La La Land
2. Ryan Hill – In the Silence
3. Stefan Galea – Heartbreaker
4. Giada – I Depend on You
5. Chris Grech – Indescribable
6. The Busker – “Dance (Our Own Party)”
7. Maxine Pace – “Alone”
8. Ian – “On My Own”
9. Brooke – “Checkmate”
10. Dan – “It’ll Be Ok”
11. Matt Blxck – “UP.”
12. Fabrizio Faniello – “Try To Be Better”
13. Eliana Gomez Blanco – “Guess What”
14. Christian Arding – “Eku Ċar” (Clear echo)
15. Geo Debono – “The Mirror”
16. Nathan – “Creeping Walls”
The ones that didn't make it to the final show were:
- Andre’ – Broken Hill
- Klinsmann – “Piranah” (Piranha)
- Dario Bezzina – “Bridle Road”
- Mark Anthony Bartolo – “Tears”
- Mike – “Leħen Fiċ-Ċpar” (A voice in the fog)
- Bradley Debono – “Blackout”
- Dominic and Anna – “Whatever Wind May Blow”
- Greta Tude – “Sound of My Stilettos”
This Saturday February 11, the Maltese national selection will conclude with the MESC 2023 Grand final that will select the state-island's Eurovision 2023 hopeful.
