Eurovision 2022: The Big-5 countries' Grand final running order draw

  • The running order of the Big-5 countries in the Grand final of Eurovision 2022 was determined during their respective press conferences following the 2nd rehearsals.

    Once the Big-5 countries (France, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Italy) concluded their 2nd rehearsals, during the press conferecences that followed a draw took place determining in which half of the Grand final they will be performing. 

    While the Italian hopefuls know already that they will be performing 9th in the Grand final, the rest four had to pick from a pot in which half they will be performing. 

     

    Therefore here is how the draw came out determining the overall running order for the Big-5 countries: 

     

    • Italy: Mahmood & Blanco - Brividi, Will be performing in the  ninth place in the grand final.
    • France: Alvan & Ahez - Fulenn, will perform in the first half.
    • United Kingdom: Sam Rayder - Space Man, will perform in the second half.
    • Spain: Chanel - SloMo, will perform in the first half.
    • Germany: Malik Harris - Rockstars, will peform in the first half.

     

    The final position in which all countries will be performing will be determined by the organisers at a later points once all finalists have been determined. 

    The 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place at Pala Olimpico in Turin, wth the two semi-finals taking place on May 10 and 12 and the Grand final show on May 14, 2022. This will be the third time that Italy hosts the contest (having previously hosted the 1965 edition in Naples and the 1991 edition in Rome),The three live shows will be hosted by Italian television presenter Alessandro Cattelan, singer Laura Pausini and Lebanese-British singer Mika.
