Eurovision 2022: Live-On-Tape backing performances to go public progressively
-
Eurovision.tv has announced that they will be releasing the Eurovision 2022 Live-On-Tape backing performances progressively over the next 10 days on the official Eurovision Youtube Channel.
Ahead of this year's Eurovision Song Contest, like in 2021, the 39 countries had to made a pre recorded live performance of their entriesby late March in order to guarantee their participation in case the delegation was unable to travel to Turiin due to covid-19 restrictions or the acts to perform live cause of a covid-19 case detected.
The only country that was exempt from submitting such video this year, was Ukraine due to the ongoing war conditions in their country. While Eurovision.tv will be now releasing over the next 10 days the backing performances officially, Ochman from Poland and Vladana from Montenegro have already released their backing performance video.
Last year the respective on-tape performances were presented in a special online show “Eurovision Song Celebration” hosted by Krista Siegfrids the week after the contest.
Fortunately, this year the on-tape performances were not needed at all as all delegations were able to travel to Turin and the competing acts had no issue performing in person on Pala Olimpico's stage.
